One Reference Geo-Information Source for Europe
ELF geo-tools
Tools are required to harmonize the authoritative reference geo-information supplied by the NMCAs and integrate into it the required ELF geometric and semantic information, such that the national base data will be transformed to provide a coherent set of ELF platform reference datasets. As such the basis for the use of the tools will be the general guidelines and rules defined within the INSPIRE service architecture.
The following table lists the available ELF geo-tools.
Title | Tool type | Description |
---|---|---|
IGN France Change Detection Tool | Change Detection |
The change detection tool will compute the differences between 2 releases of the same vector database: based on geometric, topological, semantic algorithms, the calculating process aims at determining which objects are new, deleted, split or merged, modified (geometric and semantic modification). |
ArcGIS Edge Match tool | Edge Matching |
ESRI will provide an Edge matching tool, by tailoring of Commercial Off-The-Shelf software (COTS). ArcGIS contains a toolset with tools targeted at edge-matching workflows. Initial matching algorithms keep being improved. |
1Integrate | Edge Matching |
1Spatial has delivered an edge-matching solution based on 1Integrate. 1Integrate is 1Spatial’s product for automatically updating and reengineering data for the update of existing products or creation of new products. |
Generalisation Tool VarioScale | Generalization |
Cartographic Generalisation Tool by TU Delft |
Gen.tool KADNL & Esri | Generalization |
Tool and Procedure for generalisation from Master 1 to 2 based on ArcGIS Modelbuilder from Esri. Partly open source. |
1Generalise | Generalization |
Generalisation tool of 1Spatial |
IGN France Generalisation tool | Generalization |
Generalize ELF Regional data (medium scale) in order to produce ELF Global data (small scale). All themes and feature classes of the ELF Global level should be processed with this tool. |
Table Join Service | Other |
Linking administrative / statistical data to location based data. |
OSKARI | Platform |
Platform of browser-based tools to serve, access and re-use geo-information from different sources |
Geo Product Finder | Portal |
The tool is a user friendly interface to find, view, compare and access the geo-information. The Geo Product Finder (GPF) will allow end users to find and access services directly. However it can also be a useful tool for application providers and public bodies. |
PP Repair | Quality assurance |
The ELF Quality Assurance will provide tools that provide the data producers and users with the quality information they need. The output will be quality reports that contain different quality measures depending on the use case described. |
ArcGIS Data Reviewer | Quality assurance |
The ELF Quality Assurance will provide tools that provide the data producers and users with the quality information they need. The output will be quality reports that contain different quality measures depending on the use case described. |
1Validate | Quality assurance |
The ELF Quality Assurance will provide tools that provide the data producers and users with the quality information they need. The output will be quality reports that contain different quality measures depending on the use case described. |
ELF service validator | Quality assurance |
The ELF service validator provides tests for INSPIRE view and download services. It is based on the ETF tool, an open source test framework for testing web services and XML documents. |
HALE | Transformation |
The transformation tools will harmonise/transform existing geographical datasets from the participating NMCAs to the ELF data specifications. Additionally, the transformation tools will be used to load the transformed ELF data into the centralised data repository on top of which the ELF data services will be implemented. |
GO Publisher | Transformation |
The transformation tools will harmonise/transform existing geographical datasets from the participating NMCAs to the ELF data specifications. Additionally, the transformation tools will be used to load the transformed ELF data into the centralised data repository on top of which the ELF data services will be implemented. |
SLD Editor | Visualization |
SLD editor is a web based visualization tool for WP3 OGC WMS services. The tool allows creating visualzations according to national preferences and for domain needs based on SLD templates. The tool conforms to OGC SLD specification version 1.1.0. Published under a dual license: EUPL (https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/software/page/eupl) or MIT (https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT). |
Scalemaster | Visualization |
