Kartdager 2016

Jorgen Hartnor from the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority (Lantmäteriet) will present on the European Location Framework at Kartdager 2016.
 
The events takes place from 26 to 28 april 2016 at the Gavlerinken Arena, Gävle, Sweden with the ELF workshop running from 15.30 to 16.30 on 27 April.

GIVS 2016

Delegates at the GVIS 2016 conference in Prague will be able to catch up on the latest news from the ELF Project.
 
Eva Pauknerová from the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre will be presenting on 2 May in the session on GeoInfo Strategy from 11.05am to 1pm.
 
The GVIS 2016 conference takes place in Prague on 2 and 3 May 2016 and is organised by The Czech Association for Geographic Information (CAGI).

National Mapping Organisations' Summit

Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi), in partnership with Esri Ireland and Esri Inc, is hosting the next National Mapping Organisations Summit on 18 May in Dublin. CEO, Colin Bray will speak about empowering national data infrastructures with national mapping-as-a-service.
 
We are also pleased to announce that Abigail Page, EuroGeographics' Technical Product Development Manager will join Clemens Portele, Managing Director, interactive instruments to present on regional SDI and the ELF project, including the role of cloud-based GIS. 
 

Validation Workshop

Members of the ELF Project team are sharing their experiences of validating services and data at a workshop hosted by IGN France on 2 and 3 June 2016.
 
Validiation is an issue facing all public bodies implementing INSPIRE.  The joint workshop organised by EuroGeographics INSPIRE KEN, JRC and EuroSDR is a great opportunity to hear from experts and share experiences in validating metadata, services and data.

Joint Common Vision Partners conference 2016

Conference on the future role of NMCAs hosted byThe Netherlands Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency in Amsterdam. The event, from 5 to 7 June, focuses on Migration to a Smart World. The topics to be discussed include marine cadastre, interoperability, smart cities, location infrastructure, inter-connection of land registers, big data and 3D.

ELF Day in Finland

The results of the ELF Project to date will be presented at a special event orgnaised by the ELF project in collaboration with the National Land Survey of Finland on 8 June.

 

ELF Day is an opportunity to to find out what the European Location Framework will offer, the business model and how to use the services with a hands-on session, 

 

Participants will hear from Arvo Kokkonen, Head of NLS as well as ELF Technical Coordinator, Antti Jakobsson from NLS, Abigail Page from EuroGeographics and Sanna Paavilainen from ESRI Finland. 

 

INSPIRE symposium

Members of the European Location Framework (ELF) Project are delighted to have been invited to present at the annual national INSPIRE symposium in Poland.
 
Organised by the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, the two-day conference includes presentations by Mick Cory, Secretary General and Exceutive Director, EuroGeographics and Bart De Lathouwer from OGC. Laila Aslesen will also speak on European Topographic and Cadastral Reference Data from one online source – an ELF view from Norway. 

INSPIRE Conference 2016

 
Members of the ELF Project Consortium will be participating in the 2016 INSPIRE Conference in Barcelona. 
 
The ELF Project sessions take place on 29 and 30 September and include a plenary presentation, parallel sessions and a workshop. View the timetable of ELF Project activities

EuroGeographics General Assembly 2016

 
EuroGeographics, the membership association for the European National Mapping, Cadastre and Land Regsitry Authorities, is holding its 2016 General Assembly from 2 to 4 October in Budapest, Hungary.
 
Hosted by the Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing, it will include a session on the European Location Framework (ELF). Delegates will hear about progress to date, next steps and the benefits of prodicing their data to this gateway to pan-European maps, geographic and land information from official, national sources.
