ELF workshop in Tirana, Albania

EuroGeographics, the membership Association for the European National Mapping, Cadastre and Land Registry Authorities, held a well-received workshop on the ELF project in Tirana today.
The event was part of the 7th Regional Conference on Cadastre and Spatial Data Infrastructure attended by more than 50 participants from the Balkans. Speakers included representatives from the World Bank, Norway and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) as well as EuroGeographics which is a partner in the ELF project.
The hosts, Albania have already adopted the INSPIRE Directive and are now working on its implementation. The European Location Framework will take INSPIRE to the next level by providing the practical means for delivering operational cross-border and pan-European services.
